It’s 4.30am on Friday the 15^th of December and it won’t be light for another three hours. The silence is broken only by the low hum of a single engine. A taxi slows down and pulls up. A door opens, and out step the imposing figures of two dark blue troops - prepared for the onslaught of our biggest and most VERY IMPORTANT weekend to date.

Sarah Cornick has been shortlisted for Oxford University Sportswoman of the Year 2005-06. This award recognizes individuals who have shown excellence in their chosen sport but also contributed to the life of their club. Sarah's five Boat Race appearances, pairs win at BUSA, and selection to the Great Britain team at EUSA made for a strong application in an extremely tough competition for the award. In addition Sarah's dedication to the club in training and organization were recognized. Congratulations and well done Sarah!
